Re: Robot & Frank

Enjoyed this one. A nice, gentle, heartwarming tale. It didn't demand anything of its audience and just allowed you to enjoy the relationship between Frank and Robot. Although having darker undertones it deals with them gently. I would recommend this one!

Re: To the wonder

I really enjoyed To The Wonder. However I agree 100% with the comments made about Ben Affleck's acting ability - or lack there of. I feel that he was probably supposed to be emotionally unconnected otherwise this would have made the turmoil and pain that his love interest endured unrealistic. It was...

Re: Cloud Atlas

It reminded me of Memento in that the stories were all chopped up and the significance of the intersections only become clear by the end. If you like it you are rewarded on a second viewing. Someone once asked me that if Memento was told forward as a normal story would it have been as interesting? ...

Re: Flight

Watched this at Bristol's Cinema de Lux yesterday, the queue was very long, which was a first for me! Overall the movie was well acted and enjoyable enough. I found myself sympathizing with DW's character but disconnected with Kelly Reilly's character who didn't add much to the story. The film could...

Re: I Give It a Year

Awful, predictable and unlikable characters! I was temporarily encouraged by the appearance of Simon Baker but even his good looks and charm couldn't save this train wreck! Neither leads had appealing characteristics which made it difficult for me to engage with them. Rafe Spall was thoroughly unlik...

Wanted - Hitchcock 3rd February Bristol

Hi guys
I'm desperately seeking Hitchcock tickets for Sunday 3rd February at Bristol. If anyone has tickets they can't use for this event I'd be grateful if you could think of me. Many thanks :D
