Les Miserables (2020)

I saw Les MIserables 2020. Nothing to do with the Hugo novel apart from a few underlying themes, but a very tense ride... worth seeing. 4 out of 5. this is priced a £5 at kingston odeon but full price at neighbouring Wimbledon odeon( ). £5 for new movie is a bargain, go to Kingston! There...

Re: Cinemas reopening!

I couldnt resist the Lord of the Rings extended at the Cineworld superscreen. Practically empty cinema though it was a sunny day. Just five masked people in the auditorium.

Re: Coronavirus

I can understand why people wearing glasses would wear a mask further down their face. Its to stop going blind when the glasses inevitably steam up. I work at manipulating the shape of the nose section to prevent that, and i'm pretty good at it, very few steaming episodes. I thought you'd have inve...

Re: Cinemas reopening!

Did Cineworld have tickets on sale? ODEON looks to be sticking to their dates, but I wouldn't be surprised if a fraction of their cinemas re-close to keep down running costs until August. u were right! wimbledon closed again. and now the remainings ones say you cant book a specific seat, you will b...

Re: Cinemas reopening!

tickets are available to book at some, one of my local odeons (Kingston) does..but the choice of films is curious, no "new" releases.
However the tickets are about 2/3 or half price! I hope they keep that up.

Re: Mindhorn

kind of like the old "Comic Strip Presents" humour, with the feel of a kids programme but in adult tone. Tovey's Kestrel boy is a hilarious highlight. Silly fun made on an Eddie Shoestring.
