Re: Joker

Don't understand why so many American critics though it was pro capitalism Haven't read that but is it anything like the Extinction Rebellion protest yesterday. In a scene very reminiscent of the movie, people were dragged off a train and beaten by a crowd because they wanted to get to work or go a...

Re: Gemini Man

Saw this only knowing the premise so was happy enough with the start and was waiting for the Sci-Fi to kick in. Was surprised when it all continued to exist in the same, flat universe. It would have been much more interesting if Big Will had a purpose or something else to do and Little Will was gett...

Re: X codes

Is it not because Wi-Fi will be getting the data from a fixed IP range that their system is filtering out but mobile data will come from a random IP that they can't block because they can't know who will be using the IP next?

Re: Joker

Some of its quite disturbing, I had to look away for 2 scenes. I couldn't bear to watch the Batman origin story again either. I liked the start, thought it did the small things quite well. Didn't like the end in Gotham, thought they tied it together very tenuously and should have just focused on Jo...

Re: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

I knew about Sharon Tate before watching the movie, so I thought the ending was just for the emotions. If only they really could've survived in real life. I know but imagine if you didn't have that prior knowledge. It's not really spelled out in the movie and I've read a lot of other reactions from...

Re: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

i had to miss the final few minutes - can anyone tell me what happened after Leo spoke to his neighbour through the gate after the police and ambulances had left? They get on well, he recognises Rick, Sharon comes down and invites him inside. The implication is that he meets Polanski and gets a car...

Re: Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

This felt more like three episodes of a TV show than a movie, there isn't really an overall story and you need prior knowledge for it to make any sense. It was enjoyable enough but I found the style really inconsistent with the random voiceover and flashbacks so I didn't think it earned that ending....

Grim, pointless movie. Surprised it was even released considering what's going on in Ireland with the Ana Kriegel case. Presumably not enough people have seen it to make the link or everybody is hoping this just quietly goes away.

Re: Sweet Sunday Codes - offers

The sugary stuff like Starburst and Skittles etc. are included this time, around £1 per bag, 5 points per bag = £2 or so per ticket (bin the sweeties!).
