Re: Red Joan

I enjoyed this film, although agree it would have worked better on the small screen. That said it was interesting to see this story as I had no knowledge of this before seeing the film. Saw it in a packed Edinburgh and although few seats left when we arrived, we were fortunate to get the last two in...

Re: Fighting with my Family

Thought i had posted on this forum, but apparently not. Really enjoyed this film and following the story of the family and as based on true events that always works for me. Seeing the real family at the end was also a plus. A good British movie, with a touch of America. Good Chemistry. 8/10

Re: Beautiful Boy

Excellent film that shows that even kids that having loving family background can be lured into drugs. This film portrayed the struggles to help one such boy and the difficulties along the way. Steve Carroll was excellent in this straight role and as based on true story, you get closure. 7/10

Re: Glass

You need to have seen both Unbreakable and Split for Glass to make sense. Happily I had and had enjoyed both. Thought it was a good storyline and was focused throughout. Ending assumes there will not be a sequel.

Re: Instant Family

Really enjoyed Instant family. Yes, a lot of American cheesiness, but heartwarming and as based on a true story it was a testament to the Foster parents how they stuck with it and from going from no kids to three, and all the issues that they faced, it fills you with admiration for anyone that takes...

A Star is Born

Saw this last night in a packed Edinburgh showing. Assume from Age group attending that the majority would have seen the Barbra Streisand and Kris Kristofferson version previously. Being one of the biggest fans of that version, I did wonder if they would use the same songs and thankfully that is not...

Re: King of Thieves

As british dramas go it was up there. Can't believe Michael Caine is 85, same age as my old dad, and I know who has the better deal. Worth a watch. 7/10
