Re: Blinded By The Light
I guess the main purpose of free preview screenings is to build positive word of mouth and encourage repeat visits. I'll be doing both and definitely b*y the soundtrack album (out Friday) too. Absolutely loved this last night, funny, moving, brilliant music and a perfect evocation of the era when my ...

Re: The Kid who would be king - weTicket link does not eork
I just right clicked and opened a new window. Didn't need to cut and paste. I did use an incognito window to be on the safe side. Had to enter my ShowFilm First password and could then book tickets.

Re: Any VHS collectors on FMUK?
I have about 100 VHS which are all titles not issued on DVD. Mostly TV programmes and Music but a sprinkling of films, eg Buddy's Song, a favourite of mine. There's a film starring Toyah called Julie and the Cadillacs also about the music business which wasn't even released on VHS. Anyone got that ...

Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
Not sure if this counts as a cinema nuisance but Showcase Bluewater started the preview screening of Gifted half an hour early today at 10am . Most people missed up to 30 minutes. They said it was going to be restarted at 10.30 so we went in at 10.20 but the restart never happened. Fortunately the ...

Re: Baywatch
We also thoroughly enjoyed the film. Yes the story line was nonsensical and the acting so-so but it was still an entertaining couple of hours away from reality on an awful day.

Re: Their Finest
Bill Nighy's performance was the best thing about this film for me. The period detail was outstanding.
The death near the end was unnecessary in what was generally, given the setting, an uplifting film. 7/10

Re: Sun Perks Discussion
The £5 promotion is probably why the codes are no longer on the back page. I haven't received an e-mail about it but I guess if 28 codes can be entered online for a fiver in return it's worth the effort for Sun readers. Will it be as easy as that ?

Re: Sun Perks Discussion
I got my London Eye code in the post today and had no difficulty in booking two free tickets for a Saturday in December at the exact time I wanted. I still miss the old Sun Perks way of booking immediately online but for me it was definitely worth collecting and sending the tokens. I note they are ...

Re: The Nice Guys
We saw this film last night and were also disappointed. There are gaping holes in the plot and I agree that it looked like scenes had been cut to get the running time below two hours .
Cinema less than 40% full despite being supposedly fully booked and a few left during the screening.
4/10.

Re: Introduce Yourself...
I'm Paul from Kent and I've seen more films at the cinema in the last three years than in the previous twenty thanks mainly to the Sun ! Took my daughter to Frozen one winter Sunday when the film was unknown in the UK and had a hunch it was going to be a huge success.. I don't like blood and guts ...
