I think I will always prefer the animated version but I thought this was a good effort- casting seemed decent and it is the first of the live action Disney films that I was curious enough to go and see. I didn't know what to expect from this but quite enjoyed it. I think it's a nice lazy Sunday film which isn't a bad thing. Nighy was on good form too

Saw this and thought it was very good. Andrew Garfield was excellent and like someone else said it was good to see Vince Vaughn in something more serious. I would definitely recommend. I didn't mind the background story as I thought it helped set the scene for what came after and provided a contrast...
