Re: Scammers by phone

I've realised that not speaking when picking up the phone weeds out all the automatic diallers as they simply end the call rather than playing recording. Also a real person on a scam with a name to call you doesn't know whether to ask for Mr or Mrs.

Re: Late Night

Mediocre at best. Joins a long list of very similar films made in America about the American TV or movie industry. Not one to watch again nor add to DVD collection.
Eight or so writers in her team, yet only 2 or 3 actually spoke. A very bland screenplay.

Re: Booksmart

Mildly amusing perhaps twice. Virtually every character loathsome. Soundtrack rocked. I zoned out several times though - perhaps running a marathon earlier in the day contributed! Glad when it ended. Glad there were no out takes to prolong it. Disappointed.

Re: Struggling to find Free Movies posts ??

You have the right place - it's just empty just now. We're currently experiencing a bit of a drought. They get moved from here to the expired thread once they've passed. You can see the films we've recently had there. Hopefully there will be some new ones soon.

Re: High Life

You didn't miss anything. It did just seem to stop...then the credits rolled. I found the non consecutive sequencing rather off putting, but so glad we were spared any more of that baby screaming. I thought it was trying to be a bit too Space Odysseyey. It also steals a lot from The Martian. Not bri...

Re: Eighth Grade

Tried to enjoy but didn't much. Over 83% of the film is a talking head of a really annoying cringey preadolescent female. Those webcasts just became tedious - and like, y'know, they, like, just, y'know, like we're just, like, ramblings. Dad stole the show. In spades. Soundtrack was great. The awkwar...
