I agree. I think he’s def up for an Oscar nomination. Although a couple of times I felt it was a little contrived (the Tai Chi type movements and the dancing on the steps - I thought was maybe playing to the Academy) But he played the role with incredible physicality. I agree: I’m getting a bit bored with the “based on true story” movies that contrive thin or absurd plot lines round the reality in an effort to make a movie.
