Re: Spy

This fell into the "so bad it was good" category. I really did crack up at the guy from The Office/Silicon Valleys brief 5mins, and peter serafinowicz character.

6.5/10
You summed this up perfectly for me. Left feeling like it was a good 2 hours entertainment, but nothing i would go out my way to recommend.

Re: Danny Collins

I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. I really enjoyed it. 8/10. The relationship between Danny and all the characters was really well done. The obvious the hotel manager patter, but also with his sons wife.

Re: Cinema Passes

Odeon are trialling a scheme - https://twitter.com/ODEONCinemas/status/594472254345457664 Interesting!!! I was a bit surprised other chains have never offered something similar to the cineworld unlimited card. (Showcase offer them as prizes for comps though). The cheapest I have been able to get it ...

Re: The Book Thief

[my only confusion is that in Berlin there is a trip-advisor famour burger bar called burgermeister, but the word actually refers to the state governor. Ofcourse the movie used the latter version lol] It's called a pun. Even the Germans do word play now and then. Haha, i did clock on to that ...

Re: The Book Thief

This has probably been one of my most anticipated "freebie" movies for a while. Having been to Berlin and absolutely loving it. Going to the university and also the memorial of the book burnings, i was really excited for this. I cant get my head around how good the the girl was (Sophie Nelisse). The ...

Re: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty

I thought this was ok. It was a "im glad i never pa*d for that" kind of film to be brutally honest about it.

The scenery element to this was great. However, whilst the chemistry between all the characters in the movie was good, it just didnt translate to any connection with me.

I love JGL. 50/50 is probably one of my favourite films.

However, this was... yeah... pretty out there. I think i enjoyed it. I dont really know what to think!!!

JGL is one lucky guy. The scene with him and Scarlett Johansson at her room door. Lucky guy... lucky...guy!!!

Re: Gravity

I went to see this at Cineworld in Glasgow. Arrived a fair bit later than i anticipated and ended up in the front row (not my ideal viewing point). The back of the cinema was full up quite early on with the odd single seat here and there, the punters arriving at 6:30 had no chance, one pair of ...

I went to see this at Cineworld in Glasgow. Arrived a fair bit later than i anticipated and ended up in the front row (not my ideal viewing point). For the first couple of minutes i thought i was going mental, nothing was in 3D. They then put the correct lense (i am guessing) and it was fine ...
