Re: The Salvation
Thoroughly enjoyed this. To me it was an updated version of a traditional western, the type of which we used to be able to watch on Saturday night. Yes there was violence, but you knew when it was going to happen, giving people like me and Teddybear1 time to avert our eyes! I've see much worse viole...

Re: The Imitation Game
Quite simply the very best film of the year so far. BC was excellent and is surely up for many nominations for his excellent portrayal. Unbelievable in this day and age to see how he was treated. I for one am still trying to get my head round the fact that one man, Turing, could actually conceive of...

Re: The Re-write
Even if you don't p*y for tickets, I'd advise you to give this one a miss! Abysmal! Should have been rewritten.
1.5/10 (and 1.25 of those marks were for the free popcorn)!

Re: Pride
IMHO this is one of the best films of the year so far. Having read the synopsis before going I wasn't sure it would be an awfully appealing film but I was so wrong. Loved the film. It was funny, sad, light hearted, serious, all at once. All the actors portrayed their characters really well and quite ...

Re: A Most Wanted Man
I saw this at Glasgow Quay tonight. Shown in a small screening room . . .folk turned away as room full. Karenlg123 and I discussed how it's funny how Times folk are generally early to make sure they get in and are off the running blocks immediately the staff mention the room is now open! Never see ...

Re: A Most Wanted Man
I really enjoyed this film but would have enjoyed it a lot more if it had been 20-30 mins shorter. My Dad said it was more complicated to follow than an extended episode of Taggart and although he wasn't sure exactly what happened he thought he enjoyed the film anyway! It was full of twists, turns, ...

Re: Million Dollar Arm
Far too long..... that being said, it was a good movie and I really quite enjoyed it. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it so much if it hadn't been a true story as it would almost be a bit "unbelievable" if it weren't true! The acting left a bit to be desired by most of the cast, but overall a decen...

Re: The Hundred-Foot Journey
This was a good wee Sunday morning film. Pretty predictable but nonetheless enjoyable. It did last a bit long tho and some of the scenes could have been shortened without any detrimental effect on the movie or the storyline. Good enough acting but nothing award winning. Yes it's worth watching. Word...

Re: Let's Be Cops
Saw this at The Showcase Glasgow with McG, deb1 and teddybear1. They all heehaw'd and laughed out loud most of the way through this but me, not so much. I had an idea before I went that it wasn't really "My kind of movie" and although that turned out to be the case, it wasn't as bad as I expected. T...
