Re: The Wolfman

Seen Wolfman last night in a hot Cardiff Cineworld. They used one of the larger cinemas and it was about 90% full. As a fan of the horror (not slasher) films was looking forward to this - but as people above have commented, the plot was flat, poor Antony Hopkins accent was all over the place and the...

Re: Daybreakers

Just seen this tonight in Cardiff. Glad it was with the 241 offer by myvue - thanks to Beate for the info. Only 4 people in the total audience and had checked the signing sheet for the offer - the other 2 had a 241 offer as well. Other half said it was better than the girlie stuff I take him too - m...

Re: Invictus

I seen this in Cardiff - 90-95% full for a change. Agree that Morgan Freeman was an excellent Mandela, and also felt that Damon was underused. Thought a bit more about Chester in the team / film wouldn't have gone amiss. There were laughs, poignant moments and bits that made you think. The rugby was...

Re: Astroboy

Hi Seen Astro Boy in Cardiff Cineworld. It was about half full and the atmosphere was really good. Lots of children laughing. Did have a tear when dad rejected him.
The baddie did remind me a bit of Iron Giant character.

Is there a secret FMUK signal to recognise one another? or do we make a badge?

Re: Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll

Did make it to see the film - glad I did. 7.5/10 OH liked it as it wasn't an American film . Film is a bit quirky with lots of flashbacks and I wanted to know more about his childhood. There were scenes which jumped around a bit and of course I kept waiting for the songs. Like Beate I thought "Andy ...

Re: The Princess and The Frog

Hi, seen this with my grand -daughter in Odeon Cardiff. They opened the doors at about 10 so we didn't have to wait too long. I usually carry sweets and stuff in my pockets so no rush to the counter for us, I just leave her run to the seats she likes - taught her to look for the centre of the screen...

Re: Where the wild things are

Oh dear
I have never read the book and I did not like the film - I tried hard to keep interested, I had read all the postings raving about it but ??????. My GD liked it though.

As I got a free ticket through the MC offer at least it goes on my list.
