Re: The Fantastic Mr Fox

Hi We seen the film in Cardiff - wave to Splodgy, we sat at the back. The girls did laugh occasionally but like others have said - it lacked a certain something. Would give it 8/10. maybe it was too American?? What do others think? Just re-read the above posts about the voices - I didn't realise tha...

Re: An Education

Just come back from seeing the film in Cardiff - thanks to gismo1554. A pleasent enough film but I felt the characters needed a little more depth, I really wanted Rosamund's character to give some hint of her background. Also, the ending was a bit mills and boon. I could see why it was set in the 60...

Hi Seen High Altitude: The Sharp End: 19 (52) minutes Lift: 11 (29) minutes 20 Seconds of Joy: 60 (60) minutes Ten: 19 (36) minutes Thought 20 seconds of joy could have been cut to 30 mins. Quite exciting to watch but thought the people doing this solo no equipment climbing, base jumping etc were of...

Re: Up

Thanks to The Sparrow for the txs for swansea. Really enjoyed this film. The little cloud film was lovely as a starter. Pixar films do look good. My grand daughter laughed, giggled and stuffed herself with sweets (- b*ght from supermarket, trying to keep costs down), she loved it. I had a bit of wet...

Re: What is your favourite horror film?

With Bevvy - Dusk till Dawn is a goody. Hope the Haunting is the old Black and White one. All the spookyness is off screen, you never really get to 'see' anything but the tension just builds and is brilliant. The terror is what you create in your own mind. I do find the 'american' style of horror - ...
