I was thinking the same.

Seems very strange. The film was released 2 months ago, and a lot of the showings are very late night/post-midnight. It's not like it's Halloween or anything..

Re: Get Out

Loved it. Unique. Edgy. Really subtle humour combined with a feeling of uncertainty and dread. I thought it was a very clever, well written film that got the balance just right.

WANTED: Get Out x 2 - Birmingham, Vue Star City 14/3/17

Missed out. Would love two tickets for the showing at Vue Star City if there are any spare. I'll keep checking back but just in case.

Many thanks.

Kong: Skull Island

Very mediocre. This film was a different take on 'Kong'. Didn't feel any kind of attachment or sympathy for any of the characters, and not even for Kong himself - something that was so key to previous 'Kong' films. This was just a film that jumped from one set piece to the next. Pretty thin plot wis...

Re: Odeon Screen Unseen

Sounds like it will be 'Get Out', in which case I'll be going to this. Currently at 99% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, almost unanimous praise.

Re: John Wick 2

Loved it. At least as good as the first one. The choreography for the "gunplay" and fighting was superb and very entertaining to watch. It was also beautifully shot, with a good soundtrack and some surpisingly funny moments too. Easy watch and an entertaining way to spend a couple of hours.

I miss the golden days

Anyone else miss the days of Sky Movies free cinema tickets a few years back? The days when there would be a new screening available with various companies almost every other day, sometimes every day. This site was really bustling back then! Now we're lucky if we get anything free apart from the odd...
