Re: Ghost Stories
Went with an open mind (did not know anything about the film in advance), but came away disappointed. I just felt that the film didn't seem to fit together and I would agree that "clunky" describes it well. Some of the scenes were chilling, and one in particular had someone jump out of their seat, b...

You Were Never Really Here
I hadn't previously seen any of Lynne Ramsey's films, and have since read that her background was in photography, which makes sense as the film felt very artistically shot and visually compelling. Red Sparrow
Loved this film! Despite a fairly lengthy run time, I sat back and enjoyed found myself really engaged with the film. Not for everyone (as early reviews are suggesting), but for me it was 8/10.

Re: Black Panther
I'm more of an indie film fan, but thought I'd give this film a go. Got really bored and actually left the film with about 40 minutes to go as I lost the will to live (this is extremely rare for me). I could predict what would unfold next and realised I didn't care. 2/10

Re: The Shape of Water
Managed to avoid reading anything about this film/watching the trailer prior to watching, and absolutely loved watching this film unfold. The score and set design were both memorising. Great supporting cast, and I thought Sally Hawkins was fantastic. Can't wait to see how the Oscars goes down. 8/10

Was really looking forward to this film and it didn't disappoint. A great directional debut from Greta Gerwig. Nice to see that she wasn't overlooked at the Oscars for this 8/10

International film with some nice cinematography, music (Mathew Herbert) and a really great performance from Daniela Vega. A moving story and captivating for the most part 6/10
