Who says we are way past anything? The virus hasn't gone away, in fact cases are increasing again. We have over 1,000 confirmed cases a day again! tickets are available to book at some, one of my local odeons (Kingston) does..but the choice of films is curious, no "new" releases.
However the tickets are about 2/3 or half price! I hope they keep that up.

kind of like the old "Comic Strip Presents" humour, with the feel of a kids programme but in adult tone. Tovey's Kestrel boy is a hilarious highlight. Silly fun made on an Eddie Shoestring.
