The Mauritanian
Another movie I was lucky to watch as an online premiere for the 2021 Glasgow Film Festival. Based on the NY Times best-selling memoir "Guantánamo Diary" by Mohamedou Ould Slahi, this is the true story of Slahi's fight for freedom after being detained and imprisoned without charge by the U.S. Govern...

The Courier 2021
I was lucky enough to see this movie in April through a friend who received an online press screening code (she was allowed 3 viewings, so she gave me one), and I must admit I was very impressed by this movie. The Courier tells the true story of an ordinary businessman, Greville Wynne (Benedict Cumb...

Cruella
Watched it on its release day as I was so excited about this movie since the very first trailer Disney posted online! Emma Stone is truly brillant as the iconic villain, but Emma Thompson is the real queen of the movie in my opinion. She was cold, wicked, unapologetic... in one word, she was amazing...

Re: The Dissident
Enjoyed watching this documentary as well with the SIF preview, and even told a friend to give it a go now that it's on Amazon Prime. While the doc was long (and made longer at the preview with the additional Q&A that I thought brought a lot to the overall topic, for which I was grateful), it was ne...

Re: Emma (2020)
Big Austen fan myself, I knew from the trailer this movie would just be a huge joke - wasn’t wrong at all on that!
Saw it last Sunday, and thankfully didn’t p*y for it, otherwise it’s clear I would have waited to see it on TV or VOD platforms.

Re: Little women
Very nice film for a rainy Sunday afternoon. Drags a bit a times but whole cast is pretty on point overall.

Re: 1917
Saw it at the World Premiere and Charity Gala in December. Very immersive indeed. I'm not a big fan of war movies but I have to admit that it certainly kept my attention and heart rate level up the whole time.

Re: A Beautiful day in the neighbourhood
Saw it during the BFI LFF, it was a very nice film, quite touching at times, a bit weird during others. Tom Hanks has always been a strong selling point for me so that might be why I had a good time.

Re: Star Wars : Rise of Skywalker
Liked it, but I'm not a big SW fan to begin with. Nice way of closing this chapter though...

Re: Dolittle
I personally read no reviews before seeing the movie and really enjoyed it! Is it a masterpiece? No, but I found it to be good fun, RDJ was completely bonkers, and the overall voices casting was perfect in my opinion, especially on Emma Thompson's part.
