Re: Wonder Woman
i saw this on friday at @duke of komedia in Brighton. It was much better than i expected... a few people had reservations about it especially the setting.. but as it was an origin story i felt it was ideal prep for future films. Thoroughly enjoyable.. as i feel this deserves a wider outing. Could th...

Saw this last sunday 23/4/17 DOK Brighton. I had no expectations apart from knowing it was not related to shakespeare. I describe it as powerful indeed, artistc and dramatic.. much was said with little words, a glance... loved it..

Re: Ghostbusters (2016)
I think they tried too hard to replicate the originals with identikit female characters.. the funny one, the geeky one etc..
Apart from that... i enjoyed it and would watch again with mates and POPCORN.. hoping they will not remake again with an all kid cast!

Re: Going in Style
YEP.. Saw this today.. this morning, Brighton, Uk 2/4/17.
I thought it was a decent film with some funny one liners and comebacks.
Some lovely moments and some twists as well.
First film where they mentioned ''Divesticulitus' and stoma.. relevant to me right now!

Re: John Wick 2
indeed this film lived up to my expectation of a stylish action movie with minimum plot and action sequence on mass.. loved it.. i lvoed the touching references to The Matrix as well the character meet-up. Of course there will be a 3rd movie and it will probably be more of the same..

Re: Moonlight
Saw this 6/3/2017 in Brighton.. a very interesting film.. i think the hype was because it was a take on gayness and black masculinity.. normally two topics nobody wants to link.. especially the black community.. a brief film of 3 time periods... So the Oscar was for the quality representation and di...

Re: LOGAN
I saw this and thought it was indeed a meditation on failure of a legend and the attempt to live up to that reputation etc. Interestingly enough the guy in my comic shop in Brighton was quite harsh on it.. seeing it as a throwback to 90's movies etc. Glad i've seen it.. not sure i would see it again..

Re: Hidden Figures
Apollo 13 meets The Help. Another co-incidence is that this very story was covered in the Channel 4/E4 TV series Timeless, and the time-travelling heroes of that show called upon the same black female mathematician to operate the same IBM computer for them. I even wonder if the same sets were used....
