Cineworld buys Cameo owner Picturehouse for £47.3m http://www.scotsman.com/business/media-and-leisure/cineworld-buys-cameo-owner-picturehouse-for-47-3m-1-2677441 Wonder how this will impact on the chain, and the individual cinemas. Interesting comments (and posters) on the Guardian site. http://www...

I thought he looked better with hair.
.
He did this for Jarhead too - but I think he looked better now that he has "filled out" though.

Re: End of Watch

The "f" word used far, far too much in this. If you took out that word then the actors didn't have a lot of dialogue to learn!! Didn't like the camera work either but the film was a good cop movie and the sad ending was predictable but I would give it 7/10. hee hee. Totally agree! But it was focuse...

Re: Amour

Saw this at the Leeds International Film Festival - the closing gala film. I had high hopes as I liked Hidden and the White Ribbon. However, I was in despair before too long. As others have mentioned, the acting from the two main characters was superb - both deserve Oscar nominations, and (IMHO) he ...

Re: 5 Broken Cameras

I worked in Israel in the 90s (just after Rabin was killed) and for some years after - just short, but regular, trips. I travelled round when I was there (working between 5 days and a fortnight at a time, and with Fridays and Saturdays off). I took trips all over, and it is a stunning place. But it ...

Re: End of Watch

100% full at Leeds. Once I settled into the camera/filming style (or maybe more realistically, once it had a "third party" filming), this moved to being a really strong film. Loved the buddy and the family relationships, and even the 'good in the baddies', which made this much more than other films ...

Re: Sightseers

Saw this last night at the Leeds International Film Festival, in a packed cinema. (Complete sell out.) It was very well received - loads of loud laughter throughout. Q&A with Steve Oram afterwards - although cannot say the questions were profound - more about knitted bikini patterns, visits to the p...

Re: Beasts of the Southern Wild

Saw this in Leeds yesterday, and thought it was totally stunning - a truly unforgettable movie. Hushpuppy was simply fantastic, and I had no issues about the subject of TheycallmeMrGlass's spoiler. But everything else I agree with and he says it so much better than I could. Go see this. It is a trul...

Re: James Bond: Skyfall

This was just great fun, and with a great pace, apart from a few dips in the middle. Yes, some people will criticise some bits of the film, but other bits blew me (and the others with me, including Steve9872) away.

Loved it. And the others all said they wanted to see it again.
