Re: La La Land
Enjoyed the opening number but found this film simply coasted it's way through. Not quite sure what the fuss is about with this film. Sometimes names get awards for being excellent at their job.

Re: Lights Out
Caught this finally last night, few unexpected twists throughout but as ever the story line is too predictable, makes it less of a surprise when it happens. Thoroughly enjoyed however, an enjoyable watch. Some of the acting mind wasn't fantastically plausible. Especially at the very close of the film.

Has any body else seen this new indie / monster movie?
The trailer & adverts don't do it justice, its a very "unique" watch but the underlying themes are certainly not assisted by script or premise.
Thoughts?

Re: A Dog's Purpose
McG, agreed it does have its emotional string pulling but also up lifting moments, especially the end.
Definately a sky movies / afternoon tv kind of film, or simply for dog lovers.

Re: Get Out
Loved the suspense in this social racial horror thriller.
Few subtle twists and turns even had me on the edge of my seat. Highly recommend for those with a like for a real screenplay.

Re: Stephen King's 'It' (2017)
Not too sure on this new version, trailers can as always be very deceptive.
We can just wait with baited breath to see what comes of it.

A little apprehensive of seeing this,
Cinderella, Jungle Book & Petes Dragon are yes a modern retelling. Are Disney simply trying to ride a new sequel wave?
Thoughts please.

Cinema specials in London
Hi All, Anyone been to Secret Cinema for any of the performances? If so what did you see? What did you think? My fiance and I went to Backyard Cinema before Christmas and loved the entire Winter Wonderland Experience. Rather pricey for an 80s movie but probably the most comfortable seating, welcome ...
