New Years Resolutions

Anyone made any yet?

I intend to -

1 clear out a drawer or a cupboard every week - far too much clutter and stuff.

2 contact my handy man and get more shelves, and more stuff done around the flat.

3 sort out the eating and smoking problems, get fit and healthy again

4 nag Celine to do a proper film blog, :cool:

5 hardest of all, try and be postitve

I don't make resolutions publicly or at a particular time, either - I just try to work my way towards changes and to see themnot as all or nothing but as work in progress. But that might sound like an excuse!

psychologically they are doomed to failure as you are making them because you feel obliged too. Most are made in the heat of the moment. I remember one fine resolution I was determined to see through but it failed and the person I told most resolutely ribbed me for ages after, however when I myself was determined to change it just happened and it did not become a chore but a challenge.

2014 - 132 seen (26 premieres and 7 Gala Screenings). Also 18 misc. free events/concerts
2013 - 115 Seen (12 premieres). Also 6 theatres/shows, 5 concerts

I've never made resolutions. But this year I felt a big change, and I want to keep forging ahead. So I just decided to be self-confident. That's my biggest challenge, but I think it will lead me to:
1) have a healthier lifestyle
2) be more sociable
3) do whatever it takes to find a job in the US at least for a few months (which is what I've been planning for two years :( )

If I am confident enough I'll be able to do these things - if I do these things I'll become more self-confident.
