Not sure if this counts as a cinema nuisance but Showcase Bluewater started the preview screening of Gifted half an hour early today at 10am . Most people missed up to 30 minutes. They said it was going to be restarted at 10.30 so we went in at 10.20 but the restart never happened. Fortunately the story was easy to pick up.

Lots of complainers afterwards, manager apologised and gave every one who complained a free ticket for any future screening of any film.

Here's a new one: irritating screeching coming from hearing aid of the goat sat next to me (coupled with the dig of his elbow every time he reached up to tend it).

And the old favourite: loons that sit in the aisle seats instead of filling rows (fair enough if they get there early and chose those seats) yet don't even move their legs to let you past after you say excise me please - and in particular leave their feet touching the seat in front. Several sore feet now I hope.

Cineworld Unlimited is cheating! ;-)

A fully grown adult middleaged woman sat next to me with her equally fully grown middleaged woman friend, who told her buddy that her feet were uncomfortably wet, presumably because she'd been caught in the downpour earlier that day. Her friend told her to take her shoes off to reveal her smelly feet. ("Whoof??)

What a stink. Wasnt sure what to do. ("Excuse me your feet are smelly, you not noticed? yuh..nuh..thanks awfully"),until I noticed that there was noone sat near us to our left, nor to our right or in front... so I decided ... to take one of my shoes off, and place the revealed foot right next to her. Yesterdays downpour had made my socks smelly too.

The number of glances I got after that from that pair of noodles throughout the film was awesome. Well act like a child, and you will treated like a child.
You make me laugh, but why not go the whole hog and take both shoes off and both socks and plave said socks near them?

One of my worst cinema annoyances is people who talk loud to each other throughout the film. I understand people like to chat as it's happening but they don't need to shout on the loud parts so everyone can't hear them. Also people on mobiles while watching the film. Why go to a film screening to look at your phone for half of it.

Even if its pa*d then still people come late, it's not just about free pass. But I don't understand what's the fun of watching a movie from the middle?

Oh so this US company AMC (which also runs a cinema in Manchester) is going to allow texting in cinemas. Another good reason why I have given up my American citizenship.

That article is a year old. I'm pretty sure after the backlash, they changed their mind.

Phones are a nuisance - had issues at Didsbury during Sky Screening of Lego Ninjago. Lady with two kids and husband sat on back row few seats to my right looking at phone for first 10 mins. I went out and got staff - they asked her to leave - she argued her case and they let her stay but no more phone. Later into movie another lady rows in front of me kept getting her phone out - all you can then see is the bloody glow. Why go to a movie and sit on your phone?

I remember years ago I went to see the final Twilight film. Although I wasn't an avid fan I was really looking forward to seeing it. I went to see it on the opening weekend and it was understandably packed. Unluckily I was sat in front of the most annoying group of people. Kicking the seats, screaming and shouting and generally being disruptive. What made me laugh was that one of the people was talking about how much they loved Twilight when they weren't p*ying attention to the film at all! :P Now I look back on it, I wish I'd said something to the staff but I didn't fancy going through the massive screen to find a staff member (there seemed to be no one in the screen) and miss the film. I do get very frustrated when people are disruptive and annoying but I'm also shy and hate confrontation!

I don't mind late comers but when they obstruct your view and stand in front of the screen it's annoying
