Re: Weight Watchers
Eating too many sandwiches for lunch this week but have just jumped on the scales and with all the running around this week have lost a pound - so quite happy with that.
Heavy rain outside this morning so away to get my brolly and then rush out the door again for work!! --- Did I do this for years as a living??? Seems like torture now to me never having any time to myself - sometimes it is better being old and retired and just working a few days now and again.
Catch up with everyone later.
Have a good day.

I'm off work today hence the late arrival on here. I was trying to have a lie in but got on OH's nerves as I'm wide awake (I've had enough sleep) and keep on chatting hence showered and dressed. I usually start work at 8 whereas he's 9 ish and works from home.
Menu of the day:
Special K with strawberries and a black coffee (330 calories)
4 Belvita biscuits for lunch and a yoghurt late morning (300 calories)
Eating out tonight - may have a bag of chips on the sea front (if my father was still alive he would be horrified and say that I look common )
I'm off to Blackpool for the day to see the illuminations catching the train just after lunch as DD is off this afternoon - I have promised my daughter's that I would take them there one year but as the oldest one has left home and the youngest one is 19 its been a standing joke but its happening today. Oldest one has been with her boyfriend already.
I'm off work until Tuesday and I thought that I would have a rest and stay in but those who know me have said that there is no way that I could stay in for 4 days I now have plans for all 4 days but not mad ones/ gentle ones Plus I have had a rest and stayed in bed for an extra hour.

Years ago, I had a friend in work who longed to eat a sausage roll, walking down the street, as her Mum would never let her do that!!! On her birthday, we went down the pub at lunchtime ... she had one tooooooo many ... insisted on b*ying a sausage roll and eating it on the way back to the office ..... soon as we got back, she rushed to the toilets, threw up and unfortunately was unable to get up off the toilet floor - and she was inside a locked cubicle!! We had to keep this quiet from the boss and somehow manage to get the door unlocked, get her out and sober her up before she went home!!! She swore it was the sausage roll that made her ill ... not the fact that she ate it, but that she ate it WALKING IN THE STREET!!!
My first ever 'grown up holiday', on my own with my boyfriend was in Blackpool!! Enjoy your day, Diane!!

Re: Weight Watchers
Catching up on housework this morning but going out afterwards possibly walk into town.
Menu today : Porridge - made with half milk and half water and salt (no sugar!) and a cup of tea.
Lunch is plate of lentil soup and cup of tea.
Tonight - fish and two small potatoes and mixed vegetables. Glass of white wine. Two oatcakes with cheese and a cup of coffee.
Perhaps a glass of milk before bed. Trying to cut down on the sandwiches and bread this week after the overload this past week.
Enjoy your walk with the dogs Diane.

Well done Biggins Yeah, a bit too many carbs with those sandwhiches but you knew it. Hope they were wholemeal bread at least :)biggins wrote:Eating too many sandwiches for lunch this week but have just jumped on the scales and with all the running around this week have lost a pound - so quite happy with that.

Re: Weight Watchers
How about carrot cake, then? Not my favourite (so boring - it seems to have replaced Victoria Sponge as the default offering) but it was the largest slice at the visitor centre and I'm greedy!

I've never tried carrot cake ... don't like the idea of it ... carrot (which I love) in a cake (which I loooovvvveeee!!!) - but not together!!! .... however, I have no problem with CHEESE cake!!! (anyone thinking of Peter Kay?!)
