Free Chinese new year film events from Manchester Airport, various locations. I hope the link works, it was from my email:

https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/manchest ... ndocument=

Manchester Airport and Hainan Airlines are excited to bring their first multi-location Chinese Film Festival to you.
Each event is free of charge, and everyone that attends will go into a competition to win a pair of flights from Manchester to Beijing direct with Hainan Airlines.
Starting in Manchester on 22nd February the Chinese film festival will run until 11th April and take place in 12 UK cities. A full list of places and dates can be found below.

Films being shown include Hero, Operation Mekong and Call of Heroes.
Hero (2002), Call of Heroes (2016), Operation Mekong (2016)

Hero (2002) Director Yimou Zhang presents Hero – starring martial arts legend Jet Li in a visually stunning martial arts epic where a fearless warrior rises up to defy an empire and unite a nation!

Operation Mekong (2016) Manchester Airport Chinese Film Festival is proud to present three advance screenings of Operation Mekong – an explosive action-packed box office sensation from maverick director Dante Lam, never previously released in the UK. (A special thanks to distributor Cine Asia for helping to organise this.)
Call of Heroes (2016) Blistering, epic-scale action from director Benny Chan, with action director Sammo Hung. Call of Heroes thrills throughout in its tale of skilled martial artists, who take a stand to protect their village against a ruthless army.

We are delighted to have a few tickets to Hen Ogledd at Jazz Cafe this FRIDAY night. Try something different with this warm and inviting Experimental Music.

Rhodri Davies and Richard Dawson have been playing festivals across the UK, Europe and the US. Hailing from Newcastle, Henn Ogledd is the new good buddy duo-project between pioneering harp-fiend-legend-dangerman Rhodri Davies and rebel singer-painter-shaman Richard Dawson.

Their music is a terrific circular musical tug-of-war between two kindred spirits; ravishing gravel melodies, higgledy piggeldy rhythms and thick, burbling textures.
