Featuring Silverclub are a Manchester based four-piece who skilfully combine pop and electronica and drag it kicking and screaming onto the dancefloor. Their sound lives in that undefined area where freewheeling disco meets clean, crisp electronics, and druggy, stream-of-consciousness vocals are harnessed to tight, hook-laden songwriting. Having released a handful of highly impressive singles and a self-titled album, the band are headed deeper into the pyramid with a spring release scheduled on Manchester's Highly regarded 'Red Laser Records', a union born of their now legendary collaborative one-off party back in October. Last summer's Minimum Wage E.P is free to download from their website.
Manchester four-piece Letters To Fiesta are making electro-pop with streams of hysteria running through its veins. Anna-Louisa Etherington fronts the band, and it's her energetic, urgent, volatile vocal range that makes you stop and listen. With Tom Brydon on guitar, Andy Fletcher on bass and Dan Houghton on drums their music is both beautiful and jarring. Etherington's voice has been compared to Kate Bush, and there are hints of Karen O too. Their latest release, two track EP "Aphorism" is available on iTunes now.
Moscow Transport are an electronic rock outfit from Salford, fusing dance rhythms with synth-pop, ambient music and post rock. Indie with the rough edges smoothed out, sounding like they've popped out fully formed from an LA recording studio in 1986, the band have just released their debut double A-side "Acknowledgements/Holder" for free online via Soundcloud and Bandcamp.
