Dead By Sunrise, the new band fronted by Chester Bennington, lead singer for multi-platinum, two-time Grammy-winning rock band Linkin Park, announce their first UK headline show at Londons HMV Forum on 19th February 2010.

We have a few complimentary tickets if you can get to the Forum tonight!!

The band, which is Bennington on vocals, guitarists Ryan Shuck and Amir Derakh (from Orgy/Julien-K), bassist Brandon Belsky, drummer Elias Anda (also from Julien-K), and keyboardist Anthony Valcic, recorded Out of Ashes in Los Angeles with producer Howard Benson (Motorhead, My Chemical Romance).

The songs on debut album Out of Ashes began to take shape during some downtime Linkin Park had before the band began recording their double-platinum 2007 album Minutes to Midnight. "I came up with a few songs that felt and sounded really good, but I knew they weren't right stylistically for Linkin Park," Bennington says. "They were darker and moodier than anything I'd come up with for the band. So I decided to work on them on my own rather than turn them over and have them transformed into Linkin Park tracks."

Bennington says that the music he wrote for Dead By Sunrise is darker, sexier, and more personal than anything he's done before. "It's got me all over it," he says. "This is the music I hear in my head." Indeed the creative freedom that Bennington felt making ?Out of Ashes? is evident on songs like ?Crawl Back In, Let Down and Walking in Circles. "There are no hip-hop influences at all on this record, which is obviously a big difference," he says. "Also, the amount of vocal layering and use of harmony really showcase my voice in a new way. I was involved in the entire process of making the record, including the programming and the production, which was not only a great educational experience, it was very empowering. I'm really excited that the album is finally going to see the light of day!"

Bennington has been busy as of late, having spent the past 18 months touring with Linkin Park in support of Minutes To Midnight, which has sold more than six million copies worldwide since its release in spring of 2007. One of the most successful rock bands to emerge this decade, Linkin Park has sold more than 45 million albums worldwide. They've scored a remarkable string of chart-topping hit singles, a pair of Grammy wins, and earned an international fan base whose members number in the millions.

Concert is at the HMV FORUM
9-17 Highgate Road, Kentish Town, NW5 1JY

Can you get to the Old Vic for a matinee performance on Wednesday?

We are delighted to offer a few complimentary tickets to SIX DEGREES OF SEPERATION at the Old Vic at 2.30 on Wednesday 24th February. Seefilmfirst vouchers must be redeemed for allocated seating tickets, between 1pm and 2pm, at the Box Office. The show I only one hour and 30 minutes with no interval.

ABOUT THE SHOW

David Grindley directs John Guare's adrenalin-fuelled Olivier Award-winning play - a sharp, vivacious take on two worlds colliding.
When Ouisa and Flan Kittredge let an injured young man into their home in the middle of the night, they open the door on a new and enticing world. But is it really what it seems? Guare's witty play scratches beneath the surface of a world obsessed with money and fame - how can anyone be sure that people are who they say they are?

Inspired by the real life story of a flamboyant con artist who convinced wealthy residents in Manhattan that he was the son of actor Sidney Poitier, Six Degrees of Separation is a captivating study of society's pretensions exposed by one man's self-confidence and imagination.

The play originally debuted on Broadway in 1990 and in 1993 it was adapted as a film starring Stockard Channing - reprising her Broadway role - Donald Sutherland and Will Smith. This new production will be the first major London revival of the play in almost 18 years.
Multi-award Winning playwright, John Guares plays include Lydie Breeze, Bosoms and Neglect, Landscape of the Body and The House of Blue Leaves which won an Obie and New York Drama Critics' Circle Award for Best American Play and four Tony Awards. Six Degrees of Separation received the New York Drama Critics' Circle Award and the Olivier Best Play Award.

David Grindley returns to the Old Vic following the success of National Anthems. Other West End credits include Honour, What The Butler Saw, Some Girls, Journey's End, Abigail's Party and Loot. His recent Broadway credits include The Philanthropist, The American Plan, Pygmalion and Journey's End (which won the 2007 Tony Award for Best Revival).

Obi Abili is a recent graduate of RADA. His theatre work includes Dido Queen of Carthage (National Theatre), Brothers Size (The Young Vic) and Angels in America (Headlong Theatre).
Anthony Head's television work includes the Golden Globe nominated series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Spooks, Manchild, Little Britain and the highly successful BBC drama Merlin. His theatre credits include Chess, The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Otherwise Engaged in the West End.

Lesley Manville is perhaps best known for her acting collaborations with director Mike Leigh, she has appeared in Secrets and Lies, All or Nothing and Vera Drake. She was last seen at The Old Vic in the world premiere of All About My Mother. Other theatre includes Her Naked Skin, Pillars of the Community and His Dark Materials (National Theatre) and Top Girls (Royal Court) for which she won an Obie Award.

Running time 1 hour 30 mins (with no interval). This production contains nudity. Age recommendation 14+ (at the discretion of the parent/guardian)

Sunday 28th February - Garayev at Cadogan Hall

Event details and ticket information:

Sunday 28th February - GARAYEV Don Quixote at Cadogan Hall

GARAYEV Leyli & Mejnun

GARAYEV Violin Concerto: 2nd & 3rd movements

GARAYEV Way of Thunder: General Dance, Girls Dance With Guitars, Night on Veldt, Scene & Duet, Way of Thunder

A rare opportunity to hear works by Gara Garayev (1918-1982), one of the most prominent composers to emerge from Azerbaijan. A pupil of Shostakovich, his music displays a synthesis of a non-western musical idiom with Western form and harmony. Internationally celebrated violinist Gidon Kremer is a Gara Garyev enthusiast and proponent of music of the former Soviet Union, and joins conductor Christopher Warren-Green and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra to present highlights from Garayev?s ballets and symphonic works including the Way of Thunder, Don Quixote, Leyli & Majnun and his Violin Concerto. The programme also features a specially commissioned short film on Garayevs life and is possibly the first performance of his work in the West, certainly in London.

Weds 3rd March Matinee 14:30 - Waiting for Godot by Samuel Beckett

To receive tickets: Unfortunately we have had too many 'no shows' for matinee performances. Therefore we we would request you check your diary to see if you can attend this performance, and if you can and would like ticket, please email request to Feedback@seefilmfirst.com heading the email: Waiting for Godot. We will let you know by Tuesday if you have been allocated tickets.

Starring SIR IAN MCKELLEN
Two old friends meet to converse, joke and argue with themselves as they wait through one day and then another for the mysterious Godot...the combination of music hall, poetry and tension redefined what is possible in theatre, so that today Waiting for Godot is accepted as one of the most significant plays of the 20th century.

When Samuel Beckett's play exploded on to the London stage 50 years ago, it shocked as many people as it delighted. There had never been a play like it; indeed it was said that: "(Beckett) has achieved a theoretical impossibility-a play in which nothing happens, that yet keeps audiences glued to their seats."
In a year rich with diverse drama Sean Mathias's 2009 production for the Theatre Royal Haymarket matched the success of the London premiere and proved one of the most successful plays of the season (indeed of any season) and broke all box office records for both the play and the theatre.
After a sold out national tour and an extended run in the West End, the Haymarket revives the production, again directed by Sean Mathias with Ian McKellen and Ronald Pickup returning to their memorable roles as Estragon and Lucky.
The highly acclaimed and award-winning actors, Roger Rees and Matthew Kelly now join them as Vladimir and Pozzo.

This is the orchestra of St John's first series of concerts at Kings Place.
Each concert will feature a contemporary piece by an English composer, a solo cantata by JS Bach and one of the earlier Haydn symphonies. These concerts contain an interesting contrast of styles and content. The three English pieces, well crafted and extremely accessible, will probably be a new experience for most listeners. The solos cantatas of JS Bach are perhaps the most beautiful of all the cantatas. These three feature an oboe (Cantata 82), an oboe d'amore (Cantata 170) and a trumpet (Cantata 51). Although the Haydn symphonies are relatively early works we have chosen some of the most exciting orchestral music the composer ever wrote.
