Our office in middle of Edinburgh next to the castle closed at 1. Not reopening until 11 tomorrow.
I left at 2.30. Not a bus in sight so walking home. TBH the weather in city centre is currently fine. I've stopped 1/2 way for a coffee and bacon roll since there are no buses in sight! Most of the shops on Princes St are shut.

Anyone would think it had never snowed before! I can't help thinking there's a degree of scaremongering on behalf of those who make these alert decisions. We've had so many false calls recently. I think they are in fear of bring called out for not issuing warnings.
I've seen conditions so much worse and had to travel to school or work. Now they are cancelling trains before conditions even deteriorate. Heaven forbid anyone might actually have to put on wellingtons!

I stay on a trunk road and gave not seen a single plough pass by all day.

Edinburgh was not too bad. I was working there till 15:00 before heading home. Suffice to say it took me almost three hours to get back. A hour to Grangemouth and then the M80 was stuck due to an incident around the Denny junction. Eventually decided to go on the slip road and head home via the A803.

Very quiet road but did have a car behind me most of the way. However for most of the way I couldn't see his number plate from my rear mirror cos he was so close to me. Every time I felt he was just a wee bit too close I slowed right down gradually.

Then in my street I parked up and had to shovel/move the snow to get the car into my parking space as it was about knee high.

Good thing was I had fun playing with my puppy in the back garden. You could hardly see him in the snow cos it was high. Suffice to say we blew dry him twice

Very cold here. Can't get the house warm - even though the central heating is on!

Snow is coming down here. Its not big fluffy flakes but almost like heavy rain instead. Its building up quickly and 2 inches are on my car already. Good job we're in lockdown, but i'm too old to build a snowman - easy with this much snow.

Where abouts are you Steve? I got stuck in Halifax at the time. Too much information but I had to have a wee on the embankment after being stuck in the snow after 6 hours trying to get on the m62. Thought that might give you a laugh. That made me think how much easier it was for a man!
