Alternative to Sky TV

#1 Post by Sunny Saver » Wed Nov 07, 2018 12:15 pm

I'm leaving Sky TV. Was getting expensive and their 'good deals' weren't so good.

It's mostly boxsets we watched.

Can anyone recommend a good, cheap and easy to use alternative please and their experiences with other providers - good or bad.

Thanks.

Have you thought of Now TV instead as it includes boxsets. If you went through Topcashback you can get money for doing the first month or direct through their website it says: Enjoy over 300 box sets on demand with a 14 day free trial. Then just £7.99 a month unless cancelled. No contract. DD has been using it for ages and when she cancels they are also offer better deals I think she is currently p*ying around £4 a month.

Thank you Now sounds sensible. I said to Sky I was leaving. Last week the person offered me my existing deal + increase. Today the person offered me a deal that was even more expensive again. Ummmm that’ll be a no.

I left sky about a year ago and they are now offering me deals at a silly price. £17 per month. We used to p*y £70 odd.

The service was awful. Id never go back to them

I p*y £17 too, my package is the entertainment + sky go extra because I am VIP (no box sets) and also p*y £6.01 for my broadband unlimited. I have had no real problems with sky and as long as they keep giving me these prices I will probably stay with them.

Now TV is OK. Amazon TV is OK too; you can get that with a Prime subscription with gives you other free stuff such as delivery and music.

Don't forget to consider cashback sites, like Topcashback & Quidco, when looking at alternatives (or considering rejoining Sky!) -- this can really knock the price down further.
