My normal position on this is to have at least 6 months supply in reserve and only b*y more when its on offer. This stops me being up sh*t creek without a paddle quite successfully, and weather such shortages without worry.
It is the most economic way of b*ying the rolls.
NB its currently been over a month since I b*ght any so i'm not contributing to any shortage.

My niece, a working mum, lives in a family area where people have large garages and garden sheds to stockpile, she's down to 2 toilet rolls, and been to five stores near her and all empty shelves, even baby wipes for her baby. Panic b*ying causes shortages for everyone.

So today's advice is to avoid social gathering, particularly pubs, restaurants and theatres. Doesn't mention cinemas which appear to be staying open so far. If they do close do we think they'll honour cinema vouchers that might expire during any shutdown?

Scotland's First Minister has mentioned cinemas so it's now a case of wait and see . . . it appears that most theatres have now made the decision to close so I do expect cinemas may do similar.
Re vouchers, I'd like to think they would be extended but you can never be sure.

Edinburgh's Dominion cinema is planning to close it's two small screens leaving the 2 main screens open "to allow sufficient spacing between people". Not sure if a coughed virus blowing in an air conditioned draught appreciates this.

Young neighbours around my area are so helpful, helping the elderly with their shopping and whatever their needs as they are too afraid to go out or have to self isolate.

The local university has made it clear that there is no attendance needed at lectures, so no change there then.

I am not sure if the staff are aware that they can not turn up for a completely different reason now.

Course, if the students and staff dont turn up then noone is there to notice that the other didnt turn up.
