How inventive, Diane! Sounds good fun too.

Beate, you are getting your white asparagus after all 👏 and your vegetables patch seems to be thriving too!

So our bakery is re-opened, so able to get our crusty loaves again!

Hope you are ok, McG. Social distancing is the new norm now. Hope people are staying alert to this even though lockdown is relaxed in the UK.

Thanks, pxc. I'm coping though not so good today as we've had rain today so time spent indoors and predicted to be the same all weekend. 😢 Never mind, I'm sure that I'll survive as not watched too much on tv so might spend some time watching a few "must see" films plus a theatre show. I told my family that all we had to do was survive this pandemic and if that means doing what we're told, we will. Take care, everyone. The same applies to Fmukers . . . we all want to be here when it's over. Good luck, folks 🤞 🍀

Sorry not a good day McG especially with the weather being rubbish. Not sure if you like knitting or sewing but I have been back knitting again and really enjoying it https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/4948757 ... 50QAvD_BwE knitted these and they are so cute. I am currently knitting a rabbit with dungarees for my daughter. I have talked a couple of friends/colleagues into letting me knit their children a toy each. I love handmade stuff and it's a keepsake to remember how we got through it together. I have sewn a bag for my knitting needles and made Easter cushion covers all stuff that in normal circumstances wouldn't get the time to do.

Hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday - I am edging my lawn today (it was so scruffy its untrue).

I am with you 100% re people obeying the rules. Sometimes it takes them to have a loved one on a ventilator before they do as they are asked.

Just catching up! I feel I am one of the lucky ones, I'm still working(2 jobs) . I see/speak to my parents almost everyday albeit from a distance. My kids live a 40 min drive away so I haven't been near them since lockdown, although I think I need to go out for a drive to check my eyesight!! 🤔 Just a joke, sorry! We chat via facetime ect.
I don't think anything about this virus is funny, all the thousands of people that have died and the NHS fighting to save people. Heroes!! I really want to slag the government off but I'll keep it for my social media lol.

However there are happy stories too and funny memes going about, & we defo need to keep our spirits up!

I have Netflix, Internet, books ect... I don't think I would ever get bored! I was getting my tea everyday at my mums, so while everyone was out stocking up toilet rolls, I was out b*ying cooking utensils lol I had used my cooker 5 times in one year!!! Missing my maws cooking lol.
Preferred cinemas: Any in Edinburgh!

My downstairs neighbours had a forbidden, loud and socially undistanced party in their outdoor space yesterday, and I was fuming. People really seem to think they don't have to follow rules anymore because the government is letting a rule breaker and lier get away with it, even saying he acted responsibly. Picture a strong swearword or two here!

My vegetables are growing nicely - I have named my two courgette plants Audrey and Seymour and it's only a matter of time until I start talking to them, lol.

I bet you are missing your Mum's cooking Chelle1973 especially with working on 2 jobs - it's mentally and physically exhausting in your line of work so you need a decent meal when you get home. I am with you on the government bit so I am sticking to the old lockdown rules which the scientists are still advising. There is still 1/140 in Trafford with Covid and there are 120 people on my street so puts it in perspective for me. I am treating patients who are very vulnerable so I feel that I owe it to them to keep my risks as low as possible. I too am getting so angry with the rule breakers.

Love your courgettes Beate. I am growing my first butternut squash from my friend's seedling and it is looking very healthy.

How is everyone getting on with their hairdos? I have cut my fringe a few times but haven't the bottle to cut the length and as for the thickness 🙄.

What books has everyone been reading? I b*ght a load from a second-hand bookshop in Penrith before lockdown and I am loving them
