My husband of almost 40 years, Michael, died on 20 May 2017 at the age of just 67. He was a keen cinema goer and very grateful to see a huge number of films through the generosity of FMUKers. Many of you will have met him over the years.

Michael was a Reuters journalist, a translator, a China specialist (as in the country!), a keen birdwatcher, a volunteer with a number of charities, a Labour party stalwart, a great traveller (even into North Korea and not with a tour group) and a Guardian reader extraordinaire and life for our children Julia and David and me will never be the same.

Oh god. I'm so so sorry. I knew he was ill of course but it's still a shock. Is there anything I can do?

Esther,
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. Michael sounds like an amazing man. My thoughts are with you and your family at this sad time. I'm sure all other fmukers will join me in this.
Best wishes to you, Julia and David

:bighug: So sorry to hear of your loss ejwrank. He was a lovely man, I remember him joining me for the screening of archive clips in Hackney and each time I spotted you at a screening.
