I guess he didnt know that generally med students get selected for being determined "exam crunchers", not humans, they are not a sympathetic bunch to hang with. But I was surprised at the unis attitude too, a bit fiendish keeping him officially on the course so that they can still bag his tuition fees, yet "ban him from lectures"/threaten his future in the profession - not an easy thing for a graduate who probably had 2 lots of student debt by then.

My uni was generally very good with support, but I did have a run-in with the idiotic Fees department who wanted to charge me fees for being out of uni whilst having to deal with domestic violence. If they had been successful in charging me that extra £3000 , I'd not have had funds to complete my course, and I wasnt at my best in order to deal with them at the time, so I can understand why people "cave in", I actually did for a few months at that time.

digressed a bit, RIP

Sad indeed. Poor lad. They should all be ashamed of themselves.

RIP Ted

So so tragic. Sometimes people don't think of the impact that their actions can have on another person.

Sorry for what you have been through Raj101. I cannot for one minute begin to understand whatever it was that happened to you and considering (I am assuming that you have been studying medicine) that it is supposed to be a caring profession the lack of support that was given to you. Sending you my heartfelt best wishes for your future.
