Right, so I tried cache:http://fmuk.dailyforum.net/viewforum.php?f=4
which is Film Discussion. Then I right clicked on the Film Organiser to get the link and tried to cache that. Nothing. What am I doing wrong?

When you select it tries to open the real page and barfs. So copy the link from the top of the screen and do cache: again in google.

edit: sorry my bad, didn't read your post correctly. Seems that google didn't cache that far.

Yeah it seems that it can't be done for every page (I know Google is big, but it'd need to duplicate the entire internet to do that!!)
But we get a good deal of pages...
Its a neat trick isn't it :)

Not if it doesn't work for the pages I absolutely need. I have a copy of the Film Organiser at home, not the latest one though but pretty much. But I guess people have to remember their movie scores again, thankfully I have a list for mine. And if we can't get back the London pages I will be pretty much stuffed. My events calendar, my cinemas list, the regional screenings... I am gonna cry.

When you right click on a link is there anything that says anything like "copy link" or "copy location"?

No just copy shortcut. I usually click on Properties and copy the link from there.
