I tried looking at help forums but Gmail are a bit hostile! Anyhow, I think somehow a filter was created to delete anything sent by me, but I've no idea how, or where all my sent mail went. I found some in the bin though
Valda, have you tried looking in settings? Are you using webmail or from your phone?
Alternatively, you can make sure you bcc yourself on every mail you sent out so you receive a copy.

It used to be that you had the option to keep a copy of sent mail or not (as the case maybe) but I can't find it anywhere in settings now. Gmail has changed so much in recent years making it harder to find stuff like this.

There is a button which sends the email and archives it at the same time. That button can be hidden.
1) Click on the gear symbol and select settings
2) You should be on the General tab, if not select it
3) Look for "Send and Archive:" and select the option you want.
If you hide it then only a simple send button will be available in the compose/reply message box and it won't autoarchive.

I've had to reboot my router earlier and while the wifi is fine now, I have started experiencing a delay in it coming on when I open the iPad. I've googled and this seems to actually be a common issue though not sure why it's come on so suddenly. However, I have not been able to find an actual fix for it. Is there one or do just have to endure it? It's only a few seconds but some people experience a delay of up to a minute which sounds really annoying!

Ah thanks Steve9872, I've just noticed this button, I'll investigate later vx
I finally found out what the problem was. I had a bit of spam and set up a filter to delete it. However the email address was my own email address :nono: So all my sent emails were deleted. At least I know what to look out for the next time it happens.

This is more likely a problem with the ipad rather than the router. Restarting the ipad is the best bet.
