I've been down this route, good luck with the burn as I failed to get round the 90 minute limit of a cd.

If it makes you feel any better... I'm struggling to burn CD's which play in my car (my car doesn't play MP3's)

I've always used Windows Media Player for this and suddenly, it says its copied the CD and finalized and closed... But the CD won't work !!! give up gonna make it on another a PC which has Roxio on it I think.

I found that the only solution is to stop wasting my time, b*y a short range FM transmitter and attach it to an mp3 player. Then you simply listen to your mp3's on the car radio.
The problem is that the cd specification is rather inflexible, its all down to the timings of the tracks. 80 minutes of music will fill a 700Mb disc regardless of compression used.
I tried different ways of writing a disc before I gave up. I even tried a dvd disc(tracks all fitted) but it wouldn't play.
Like I said before, good luck, but i'm not expecting you to succeed.

Hmmm that's weird. I hope that doesn't happen to mine, I just spent time burning 9 CDs which have taken me forever!!! And it's slowing my laptop down really badly!!!

There is no update, its the red book standard that's giving you the problems.
