Isn't the profile picture your avatar, in which case you can resize it on the upload page instead of opening it in paint and resizing it there. Its the bit at the bottom which says avatar dimensions. Just remember to set the dimensions before you click on submit.

you know that little sign me n steve have under our sigs? (ahhh steve.....matching sigs.....sigh!) anyway this is REALLY freaking me out but can someone help me please? I know it's meant to be a mirror thing of the internet address yr puter is sending out and there's another little message on the last line that sometimes changes, and it keeps changing to a message that starts Spandex. well does anyone else see the same message, cos Sydney Bristow used to call me Spandex a lot on the old fmuk so i wanna know how does the sign know that, or is it just a random message that everyone can see?

I think that might be also called the Home page

Well I stripped out all the unnecessary code from mine and just left the link to the actual image file which was wrapped in the [Img] command so my version changes every refresh. There appears to be a long list of options for the final message.

Ahh Spanner, On the danasoft site it instructs you to copy all the code for the sig file. There was about 6 lines of it. I deleted the excess until I was left with http://www.danasoft.com/vipersig.jpg and treated it as an image on this site, just like an off site smilie. Is that easier to understand?

erm...... no. sorreeebut thanks for trying, i have officially been outed as an old fart who knows nowt.

can i just make a suggestions please?
i know we've got a flashy new sites with loadsa toys to play with but i have to admit i mostly don't understand all the new fandagledness, so when something new is introduced can you do a kinda idiots guide to it's purpose and how to use it (and by that i mean a REAL idiots guide)

for example i know i've asked and been told about it a few times, but i still really have no idea about the whole blog/wordpress thingy. if we've got this site to post comments on then why would we be writing stuff elsewhere? sorry for being a nana, am i the only one?

The Blog/Wordpress thingy is FMUK (and very neat it is too AYBG) and then you have the forum.

The way I see it The blog is FMUK's starting point, the homepage where people start off and then they end up here in the forum and meet all the nice people and get to see movies for free

It's like with MSE, you have the site with Martin's tips etc and the forum is just a part of that site, a popular part, and a way of life for some.

2 more new site issues I have come across

when people send out a group pm if you reply it replies to everyone automatically.. can this be changed so it only replies to the sender.. but thinking about it maybe people prefer it to go to everyone - who knows, but replies only went to the original sender on old fmuk

is there a way when moving topics we can remove the function (as its useless) or at least the automatic ticking of 'leave shadow topic'?
