How to make spoiler tags?

#1 Post by IamJen » Mon Aug 31, 2009 10:41 pm

(and yes, I've tried the search function, to no avail)

I'd love to join in some of the film discussion, but I can't stand people who spoil movies, so...yeah. :)

Are you talking about hiding some text [spoiler]like this[/spoiler] then click on the BBcode for spoilers and type away between the bracket sets. You do have to use the reply button first to find the BBcode tags above the edit window, the quick reply box will only work if you know the code format already and can type it in yourself.

just browsing around on the site - that's cool to know how this works. I think I will use the function sometime! I've been learning alot about html and websites
recently. By the way i went to school before computers...so I've had to teach myself.

You are not alone katiepoll3. My hubbie was at a meeting recently, where they were discussing the x and the y generations.
The x generation are those among us who were born up to 1978, and the y generation post 1978. The premise is that the y generation is IT literate, and comfortable with iPods, mobile phones, etc. The x generation have to work at it, as it does not come naturally.

Hey! I admit I am not a techie person and I might belong to the LP, tapes and walkmen generation, but I can work my computer and mobile phone just fine!

Of course, there are lots of us who can handle the new techology - these guys were saying that most people of a certain age have to work at it. I recollect when my son was 4 years old - he knew how to use a video, and press play etc. We didn't have videos when I was 4. The y generation have been born into a society where these devices are commonplace and it is second nature to them to use it.
