I think whilst it is good FMUK now has a fb page, any codes that are released should be NOT be on fb. I think if you are going to tell people that a code has been released then a link should be posted to come to the forum. There was a reason why people have to registered on here to get the code so we should it keep it like so. Plus I agree that people don't see codes are "sold out". You can however post which previews are happening in the Events section with the date and time.
Also like the idea people can share their photos from premieres and other events on there.
FB doesn't have the community feeling like a forum does though. And it is one of the reason why I like using the FMUK forum.

Preference of cinemas:- 1. Glasgow Renfield Street Cineworld, 2. Glasgow Showcase, 3. Braehead Odeon, 4. Vue Fort, 5 Glasgow Springfield Quay, 5. any other cinema in Glasgow area including Hamilton
Also Falkirk, Dunfermline and Stirling but these are rarely used for free previews.

It would be very easy to post a link to here when a code is posted, but you would need to do it straight away you don't want to be posting on FB about available codes, long after the tickets are all gone, like Sky does, that just annoys people.
Never the code. But probably too much work anyway.
superhero's ideas of events and photos lead the way!
Incidentally, I've been working on implementing a facebook/twitter add-on here to make people's registrations easier.

That rings a bell, were they selected or did it just show the film's thread on the front page? I was thinking it would be nice to choose one review by a different person for each film released.

I used to write up things like this:
http://www.fmuk.org.uk/?p=97
and people were invited to write reviews, e.g.:
http://www.fmuk.org.uk/?p=122
It'd be nice to do it as you say, though I don't think I could do it on my own. That said, all of the moderating team here are welcome to mod the page too if they PM me their name...

Would it not have been better to create a closed facebook group instead? That way, people can request to join the group so only those genuinly interested will request to join. Also, tbh, I dont really tell many people I use this site as the more people have access to codes the less to go around. Maybe I'm just being mean though.
You can still create events and upload photos in a group. If I like the page, everyone on my fb page will know I've liked something, commented on something on the page etc, you get what I mean. So for now I wont 'like' the page but will still be nosy and check it now and again :)
