FMUKCON - Saturday, 20 April 2013 - London
Re: FMUKCON - Saturday, 20 April 2013 - London
Belated thank you to Diane65 for suggesting the Hummingbird bakery, me and OH have just popped in there on our amble up to Euston. Very, very tasty and very, very filling.
I grabbed a few pictures in case no one took any.
Shame no one waited for us, we were only a day behind!

Whatever you do, do not attempt the Megabus all the way from London up to Scotland. There's, er, moneysaving and being ridiculous. And yes, speaking from personal experience!cliveas wrote:Don't forget Megatrain /Megabus!

Thanks to pxc and Diane65 and Jeanelle for all their hard work in organising it all so well. We had such a lovely time meeting everyone. Beate, thanks for all your work.
Sorry rawr_xoxo but you looked so like my neighbour's daughter that I felt I was staring. She had finnished uni last year (engineering) and is having a year off and travelling around Australia, New Zealand, Fiji & finally going to America. I thought I was seeing double!
To the Dorset crew, the beach you talked about was possibly Barafundle Bay in Pembrokeshire, lovely talking to you.
Thanks to everyone great day, great people great weather.
So, looks like Manchester next, fantastic. Just need a date to get the travelodge, travel & vouchers sorted.

So pleased that you had a good time and we will get organising a date asap. The Ramada group also do £20 deals including the Lowry hotel which is 10 minutes away on the tram plus the added bonus of seeing Media City which we can include on the sight seeing tour for those who want to come on that (we will only incorporate things that are free as I do appreciate that people will have spent money getting here). We'll try and avoid school holidays so that most people are around.baty wrote: Thanks to pxc and Diane65 and Jeanelle for all their hard work in organising it all so well. Thanks to prettyxcool and Diane65 for organising the event.
Also thanks to jeanelle for the name glasses.
It was lovely to put faces to names and learn how to pronounce some of the user names.

What a cracking day out we all had!
It was lovely catching up with friends - long established, and recently found.
Thanks to everyone who turned up. What a fabulous, energetic, intelligent, sociable, thoughtful, generous and talkative group of people we are!

Just wanted to add my thanks on behalf of the OH (Avisute) and myself. Sorry that it was on fleating visit and that we had to dash (an hour later we were stood with about a thousand other people do a syncronised dance by a hugh boat in canary wharf...very strange).
Anyway was lovely to meet a few of you and to the people we didn't get an opportunity to our apologies. Perfect excuse there to do another one ;-)
Massive thanks and see you at a screening soon...
