About the Ghost tour:
I deliberately stood on the Heart of Midlothian and in the Coven's stone circle. Both are traditionally signs of bad luck and neither had such an effect on me. Personally I think it supplies comeuppance if anything which is why it cannot work on me.

I like this concept; let he who is without sin, stand in the Coven stone.steve9872 wrote:About the Ghost tour:

Had a lovely day yesterday meeting with old friends and new. Fun-filled with food, good company and laughter. Thanks to both Prettyxcool and Diane65 for the organisation and to everyone else for making the wee trip up north. Hope you all like your fridge magnets!

Re: FMUKCON 28th March 2015 - Edinburgh
Just got back from a great weekend in Edinburgh. Saw plenty of sights and learned some of the very turbulent history that made Edinburgh what it is today.Spent a great afternoon in the Advocate with old and new friends.
I would especially like to thank prettyxcool, Diane65 and MrGlass for all the work they did to make the weekend what it was.
Ps
I am determined that one day I will get to see the stars close up on one of these trips. Keep bringing that telescope MrGlass.

Re: FMUKCON 28th March 2015 - Edinburgh
Just had a fab meal at a little Portuguese restaurant, Tugas Amor, in Dundee Street by Fountain Park Cineworld! The clientele, all Portuguese, were getting extremely excited as there's a match going on, on the TV between Portugal and Serbia, and when we left it was 2-1 to Portugal. Really good value! It's a BYO, as they do not have a licensed yet, so they gave us a small glass of red wine each from the staff bottle for £2 each Lovely food and friendly service.

Re: FMUKCON 28th March 2015 - Edinburgh
Thank you Yinster for handing out some lovely "I love Scotland" badges (which means we have to love Scotland now!), "Fanny" magnets and for the organisers, a wonderful orange Ginger Grouse knitted hat. Thanks aKh43 for the chocs! Also thank you to steve9872 for some quick IT lessons! Sorry I did not have enough bottle opener key rings to go round, and I confess, I also left a bag of film goodies at home, but next time!
I always say FMUKers are a fantastic bunch of people!
Also thank you for the great company today Diane65, MrG, akh43, suel3288 and her OH.

Re: FMUKCON 28th March 2015 - Edinburgh
A BIG thank you to all who organised yet another brilliant get together
At a bit of a nightmare getting back, got on plane, the pilot started the engine to discover one of them wasn't working properly so we all had to get off the plane and wait in the departure lounge.
2 hours later we board another plane.
There are a few of us waiting for the suitcases to arrive on the conveyor belt, but only half come through. They check the plane and there's no more suitcases left on board.
So are they still in Edinburgh?
We were told to give our details and they would try and track the suitcases down. I was the last passenger to do so which turned out to be a blessing because as I was giving my details they came through to say they had found them - an hour after we landed - another couple an me were able to get ours as the others had already left the baggage area. They had put half the suitcases on the international conveyor belt instead of the domestic flight conveyor belt.
3.5 hours after the time we should of landed we are leaving the airport.
That aside, despite not seeing the stars and not completing the ghost tour we still had a fab time and got the chance to catch up with new and old FMUKers.
Can't wait for the next one.
