In the absence of any other suggestions, let me get the ball rolling with a draft itinerary...
7am or some other insane hour - Diane65 starts exploring the city.
8am or some other insane hour - Other people start catching up with Diane65 who has racked up 10,000 steps already pottering around St Andrew's Cathedral, the Southern Necropolis and Glasgow Green because nothing else is open. Glasgow is still asleep.
9am - I go to parkrun by myself because no one else wants to go.
Other people are still trying to keep up with Diane65.
10am - Whilst I am crossing the finish line and huffing and puffing and wondering why I went to parkrun in the first place, Diane65 finally gets into her first museum as Glasgow wakes up. Possibly the People's Palace in the middle of Glasgow Green.
11.30am - All groups reconvene for brunch in the City Centre. We can either go somewhere fancy or as with all big cities, there's a Spoons, which is cheap and cheerful. A fiendishly difficult quiz is revealed.

3.30pm - We get the train back up using the return portion of our tickets.
3.45pm - We potter around the Lighthouse and pxc takes some beautiful pictures of Glasgow from the top of the building. Other people try to take good pictures, but don't manage to get the lighting quite right. Pxc inexplicably bumps into a minor celebrity and befriends them.
The Lighthouse

Open 10.30am to 5pm
4.25pm - We head out of the Lighthouse in search of cake, because, cake.
4.30pm - We go for tea and cake or full on afternoon tea depending on how greedy/tired everyone is.

Any advance on the above?
