This is really difficult for me, on one hand I can't afford to p*y my bills if I have to self isolate. But on the other I risk passing it on!! I have always went to work whilst suffering from colds/flu. My mum and dad are in their mid 70's, my mum still works and both of them are not phased one iota about this virus. A lock down will take this out of our hands! I'm not about to cancel Glasgow until we have no other choice. Yes the travelodge don't look to be budging at all. I'm also booked for Italy on the 26th April haha yes I know! We prob won't be going!!

If you have booked a non-refundable Saver Rate and wish to change your arrival date, you are able to amend your booking online. To amend your booking, subject to availability and rates, please visit the Manage Booking section of our website. If your amended date costs more, all you will have to p*y is the difference in price. Unfortunately, you will be unable to change your booking to a different hotel.

We are waiving our usual amend fees for Saver Rates until further notice, giving you the flexibility to re-arrange your trip for a future date.

If you no longer wish to travel and wish to be reimbursed for your booking, you should consult your travel insurance provider, as we regret we are unable to refund non-refundable rates.

Avanti Info: To help customers wishing to change their travel plans during the current coronavirus outbreak, we have removed the admin fee on Advance ticket changes and are offering full refunds, without an admin fee, on all other ticket types.

In light of recent #Covid-19 developments, club cars will be closed tonight. Food and drink will be offered via room service, this is a temporary measure as we consider fully Government advice.

Yes, that is great news asamaic! Glad the travelodge have came up with some solution although a refund really should be an option too! I don't mind postponing, but to when, guess we'l play it by ear lol.

It's out of our hands now. No more social activities for a while.

We can still video chat on Hangouts, Facebook or WhatsApp though.

Don't know how long it will take until things are back to normal but keep chatting on here to make sure everyone is okay and look forward to our Glasgow meeting later on this year.

I think I can rebook my trip (but I can't cancel any of it).

Currently the Caledonian Sleeper are offering rebookings from 1 May 2020 to 31 December 2020.

May seems wildly optimistic, and I've heard August bandied about as a month when things will still be bad.

I know it will be probably be cold, but I'm thinking late October/early November? Those of us who are allowed to rebook will need to make a provisional rebooking before 28 March or we will lose everything. Any other thoughts?

(And I know, it might get postponed again!)

Well, I've already booked my travel and accommodation for Glasgow and it's all non-refundable, so there's no point in me cancelling anything at this stage.

Caledonian Sleeper are not allowing any changes/refunds - but I do wonder if the SNP will have leant on them by the end of March. LNER are offering full refunds!

Avanti West Coast are allowing a change, but only the one change, and no refund. A bit difficult to amend a booking when we have no idea when the worst will be over, and tickets really far into the future have not yet been released.

Travelodge are not offering any changes/refunds. Hilton are, even on advance non-refundable bookings. TBH, I'm not sure Travelodge will bow to any pressure.

The decision may well be taken out of our hands anyway by the end of March - I'm half-expecting a lockdown by then.

Avanti trains are only bookable up until the end of August. Travelodge can be amended until the end of the year but you have to p*y the difference. The July/August prices are more expensive. It looks like Premier Inn have also allowed changes to non flexible bookings.

Saturday nights at Travelodge in July/August are around £70-80.

But then we could all end up changing and still not be able to go on the new dates, who knows how all this will pan out.

Looks like Carol and I will still be going as private hotel won't allow us to cancel and with getting the train tickets so cheap any future booking would be a large hike in cost.
