Hey PXC, I saw you on Ramsey's Best Restaurant when you were leaving. Although if you hadn't said, I probably would have missed you.

The 'pop-up restaurant' is near where I live. In fact, we went there a few times before it closed down. It was always a very funny dining experience: the Basil Fawlty of restaurants. It had maybe 4 starters, 4 mains, 4 puddings on the menu. Not a large menu!

The first time we went, they didn't have the starter, main (steak) or pudding I wanted (the latter was only ice cream: the freezer had broke). However, they baked their own scrumptious bread rolls and when I commented on them and the waitress told chef, he waved to me from the kitchen and sent some more out.

The second time, the waitress remembered us and said 'we've got steak tonight'. Unfortunately, I didn't want the steak that time and whatever it was I wanted they didn't have.

When it came to p*ying our bill, their credit card machine didn't work, so we had to leave our card there and pick it up the next day! Lucky we were happy to do that!

Everytime we went, they NEVER had what was on the menu!

Before it closed, we walked past there and I said to OH 'let's have a look on the menu to see what's on tonight'. OH said 'what's the point, they've never got what's on the menu!!! :p!'

Given that the menu had such a small selection, you'd think they would have got the right ingredients in.

You can see why it might have closed down!

And are they worthy winners? Must admit, have only watched with one eye (the good one).

:P
yes, I think so, they were very inventive, original and food delicious, but it looked like a very, very close contest.
