Another cricket-related free day out! (I can't abide it myself)

Watch big-screen Ashes action

The ECB has confirmed the venues for the npower Cricket in the Park events across England this summer.

npower Cricket in the Park brings the excitement of the npower Ashes Series to various locations completely free of charge - all as part of the ECB's The Great Exhibition throughout this exciting summer of cricket.

The next best thing to being at the match, npower Cricket in the Park allows you, your friends and family to have the best day out of the summer watching the live Ashes action on a big screen with thousands of other fans ... plus much more:

See how your cricketing skills measure up against the England Team, and have your technique expertly analysed in the Sky Sports coaching zone
Let the kids run wild whilst still keeping and eye on the cricket in the Buxton’s Kids Zone
Grab a bite to eat and drink at one of the many quality food and drink stalls
Win chances of a lifetime to be coached by members of the England Team
Don’t miss out on the number one fan experience of the summer

There are five different venues staging npower Cricket in the Park events, each on a Saturday and Sunday during one of the npower Ashes Test matches between England and Australia.

The venues are as follows:

Southampton, Hoglands Park - Fri 10 and Sat 11 July (during Cardiff Test)
Liverpool, Sefton Park - Sat 18 and Sun 19 July (Lord's Test)
Cambridge, Parkers Piece - Sat 1 and Sun 2 Aug (Edgbaston Test)
Derby, Markeaton Park - Sat 8 and Sun 9 Aug (Headingley Test)
London, Regent's Park - Sat 22 and Sun 23 Aug (Brit Oval Test)

This link has been passed to me by MooMoo111 - many thanks! o/

http://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/directory/

This will let you search for events by area and it looks like places that normally charge admission are free and there are places open which do not normally open to the public.

I have found that they are hosting many free days in September - most of which run from 10th - 13th September.
