Re: Theatre/show discounts
Thanks to nmdara on MSE: The mystery show seems to be Urinetown. Details copied and pasted from MSE nmdara's post.
"Supposedly…there’s a popular show coming to London from Broadway early next year at St. James' Theatre. The strategy the theatre is using, is that if you b*y the tickets earlier, without knowing what the show is, you’ll get a better deal. . When the so-called-for-now ‘UGC’ performance was first announced, tickets were £25 and started to increase by £3.50 every couple of weeks until the name of the show is announced. Since I was one of the first few to b*y tickets, I’ve been given a code to pass on so that others can also get the tickets at £25, instead of the £46 they are now selling for.
The code expires this saturday, 7 September!

Not discounted but I got some reasonable priced tickets on the priority Miss Siagon pre-sale link for next May.

That code is someone's personal referral link, person with most referrals wins a trip to NYC. All codes work up until UGC185 if anyone interested wants to use a random number :)susancs wrote:Thanks to nmdara on MSE: The mystery show seems to be Urinetown. 2 for 1 tickets to Royal Opera House Live cinema season
This Sunday, September 15, Telegraph readers can book 2 for 1 tickets to see Turandot, Don Quixote or Les Vepres siciliennes
Turandot, Don Quixote and Les Vêpres siciliennes will be broadcast live from the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden to over 300 cinemas in the UK.
Turandot, broadcast on September 17, is Puccini’s passionate final opera; an exotic and savage fantasy set in ancient China, with sublime music including the famous tenor aria ‘Nessun dorma’.
On October 16, Cuban ballet star and Royal Ballet Principal Guest Artist Carlos Acosta – world famous for his performances in many lead roles – directs and dances in a vibrant new staging of Don Quixote in collaboration with award-winning West End designers Tim Hatley and Hugh Vanstone.
The Verdi bicentenary celebrations reach a grand climax this autumn with The Royal Opera’s first ever production of his first masterpiece for Paris Les Vêpres siciliennes, which will be broadcast live on November 4. Enjoy a staging that evokes the magnificence of the Paris Opéra in 1855, the year of the opera’s premiere, and some wonderful singing from a star cast.
How to claim:
Simply pick up the paper this Sunday, September 15, 2013 for your 2 for 1 voucher, and for full details and terms and conditions.

Up to 55% off Wicked, Lion King & 46 other Ldn shows
Book online or by phone from Tue 10 Dec
Starts Tue 10 Dec
From Tue 10 Dec, book online at Get Into London Theatre or call the ticket hotline on 0844 581 5050 (calls cost approx 5p/min from a BT landline) to get £10-£40 tickets for West End shows from Wed 1 Jan – Thu 13 Feb.
This is a heads-up to be ready to go when it launches next Tuesday, as the best deals go fast! It’s been unable to tell us how many seats are available per price bracket, so do go quick if you want it.
Shows include:
Wicked, £25-£40 (usually £32.75-£67.75)
Billy Elliot, £25-£40 (usually £30-£68.50)
The Lion King, £25-40 (usually £42.70-£68)
Monty Python's Spamalot, £10-£40 (usually £10.20-£64.50)
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, £40 only (top-price usually £57.50)
See the full list.
Seat allocations will be visible during the booking process, though as a rule, the higher the price, the better the seat. We couldn't get any further information about seating, but Get In To London Theatre told us none of the seats have a restricted view. Tickets are subject to availability for specific performances, so book early to avoid disappointment.
