If you do watch it look out for Empire's Simon Crook's name in the credits, I can't explain his review any other way!!

Why do people rate a trailer / film they haven't seen??

That was some crazy, thrilling, action-packed shit. I don't even know how 90 minutes can contain it.

That's what I should have been able to say for this film. Instead... http://londonfilmfanatiq.com/2012/01/18/review-haywire/
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.

So I am really disappointed about this. There was no reason for a person to see this and if you want to have a look then have a look at the short version which by that I mean the trailer. Half the material was unnecessary and painful to watch. I get the impression that they wanted to go a different way than the typical action film but why start shooting if they didn't have a solid story. They had the actors to make it great.  All I saw was a girl fighting a lot of guys and did this movie really have a villain? Was it Studer? He only had two scenes, does that really classify him as a baddie? The motive for everyone was money, come on! o.O

Should have just spent the time at home and watched Sherlock again (for the fifth time, man is that show good)

Edit: Score 1/10

I do like a lot of crap films that most people people slate but finally the day has come where I can finally say THIS WAS CRAP. Oooo I felt quite a tingle saying that, its my first time you see.

So there we have it a film that is devoid of any sense of entertaining narrative, the worst use of flashback editing I have ever seen, a complete lack of any charisma or slightest hint of subtle humour, and absolutely dead dialogue. The only good part in this film was a sequence I had already seen in Septemeber at the Empire Big Screen, the fight with Fasingbugger. That was fairly good, its getting 2 marks for that. Then we have the leading actress who doesnt have any star power, charisma at all. She isnt even that sexy either. I am not even going to get into the story because it was so boring and didnt even inject any thrills or excitement despite the fact the main protagonist is on the run all the time. How did they make this so unengaging? There isnt even any twists or turns in the story, in fact there is no blasted story.

I really thought I was going to enjoy this, trashy fun kind of film but it wasnt even that. I did like the retro 70s jive soundtrack that played during her escape on roof tops. Colombiana is a masterpiece (which I really enjoyed) compared to this stupid mess.

Its incredible to believe that this is a Steven Soderbergh film. Well every good director makes a bad film or 2. This is one of them for Soderbergh. Inject a little more narrative flair and charisma next time you do this sort of film, mate, it doesnt take much to please me you know!

4/10 (that's the lowest ever score I have ever given for an fmuk preview)
