I try to avoid Jason Statham whenever possible. Safe is a great example of why.

Hard to write a review on it, found myself hitting points you'd expect from a Statham flick, flawed but fun. I had a great time with it.

Our screening was cancelled. No indication given as to whether they will reschedule it.

Oh well, I should've opted for American Pie even though I've only ever seen the first one.

Went to see this at Shepherd's Bush (thanks to solitude for the tickets). I am always keen to see action movies, and liked most of the Jason Statham films. Went in with moderate level of expectation - expected good level of action with moderately thin plot, and passable acting. While the plot was fairly thin, the action sequences / parts were not quite up to the usual JS film. The acting was passable, probably just. There were moments which were a bit unexpected, but overall, a fairly flat and uneventful story line. Actually, come to think of it - a bit far fetch., incredulous. There were a fair bit of dialogue in chinese / mandarin which I thought could possibly put a few people off due to the need to read the subtitles.

Venue wise was OK - a pretty full screening, I'd say 85% full with a few seats available in the front couple of rows. Film started quite promptly as well.

I am not usually one who scores movie low as I try to draw out the positives, but on this occasion, I feel compelled to score a lowly 4/10 as I am rather let down. Not one I'd watch again. :(

Film got cancelled in Portsmouth.... got offered 21 Jump Street... it's my fav film of the year I was so GOD DAMN happy!
A horse walks into a bar and the bartender asks, "Why the long face?"

A pony walks into the bar and whispers, "I'll have a beer, please." The barkeeper asks, "Why are you whispering?".
"I'm a little hoarse."

Edinburgh about 90-% full.

I wasn't looking forward but OH picked this over the Zac Effron effort.

I'll let him off. I actually enjoyed this fast paced and quite violent nonsense. It was entertaining and I thought the story, albeit far-fetched was more plausible for the fact they at least tried to fill in a bit of back story.

6/10 from me.
