Gravity
Re: Gravity
Actually pa*d to see this as I missed out on the freebies - it was definitely worth the cash spent to have that spin in space
Re: Gravity
Am planning to see this, and added incentive/complication is that OH is also interested, but it's so hard to find a 2D screening, which is what we want. Cineworld Crawley, for instance, must have had about 20 performances of this yesterday, yet literally a single one only in 2D.
Bizarrely, too, if you want to use a Sweet Sundays voucher, you cannot p*y to upgrade to 3D (though as above, not that we'd want to), whereas apparently you can with Tesco Clubcard vouchers - why?

Re: Gravity
Just saw it- it was probably not quite what I expected, but still praiseworthy!

Re: Gravity
OH and I are finally going to see this today, even though the timing of the one and only local 2D showing is not that convenient. Btw, sure this must have been covered somewhere, but how does 3D work for those who wear glasses, as we both do? Do you wear the 3D glasses over your normal ones?

Re: Gravity
Well yes of course or you won't see much. Have you never been to a 3D film before?
Re: Gravity
No, hence the question, which seems reasonable in the circumstances to me. But I don't know that I will ever see a 3D screening, and if at some future stage all films are shown that way, I may just give up going instead!Beate wrote:Well yes of course or you won't see much. Re: Gravity
They're talking more seriously about the end of 3D. I personally don't always think 3D is necessary, and this is no exception. Biggest screen possible though.Ms Thrifty wrote:No, hence the question, which seems reasonable in the circumstances to me. And as someone who wears glasses, its not that bad having to wear them over glasses, especially if the film is good. Though that said, I have a friend who can't watch 3D because it makes her sick. It isn't something everyone can do, but hopefully you'll have a good experience!
