As others have said, there was the potential of a story but it never really made it! I didn't feel anything for the characters and I couldn't decide whether it was supposed to be a serious film or not! After viewing this, I further appreciate Blue Jasmine which had some similar themes but handled in a better way.
The goodie bags on the seat were a nice touch . . .must wash my hair before tomorrow night! Moggers will have hair in the best condition judging from the number of goodie bags she and DD managed to collect at the end!
Marks 4/10
Hah! I've only got a couple as we distributed them to the needy! 8O
Take away size shampoo and conditioner, magazine, popcorn stuff and a free sample of hair gunk. This was dragging until the last half hour which I found quite funny. Points must be given for the portable shell. 6/10

Shame I watched it last week especially as the goody bags made up for the lame film but as I was working late couldn't make it.

I tried to sleep but wasn't sucessful. I really didn't like any of the characters at all, especially Imogen. I really hated the way they pronounced her name btw
3/10 for the Blondie Songs

ps didn't even realise it was set in the 80's!
Her name is actually spelt Imogene hence the annoying pronunciation.

Hated this unfunny comedy. The best things about it was hearing The Boss (but not enough) and the shell.

As usual, FMUKers were first in the queue. Lovely to see everyone. They were late letting us in the Odeon Covent Garden, as they were clearing up and presumably putting out the goody bags! While we waited we could have our photos taken on the 'red carpet'.

I agree! I giggled all the way through, there was a lot of laughter from my side of the cinema too. It was entertaining, original and I really enjoyed it. Annette Bening was great, so, so funny! I would not mind a mum like her! And the CIA/Samurai was funny too. And the human shield that was brilliant!
9/10

Do you mean the "The Bousche", but I thought they were saying The Bush! :giggle:

I enjoyed this! The laughs were quirky, not too predictable. Great shots of NY and Ocean City too. 6/10.

I enjoyed this, even though it wasn't really a rom-com and not really a drama either, which kind of threw me off. But the cast were all fantastic (and odd!). I loved the human shell and Backstreet Boys scenes the most. 6.5/10

Went to see this last night @ Hatfield via Virgin Media (who actually asked for id before letting people in 8O ) and have to say that I thought this wasn't at all bad.

I liked the characters & laughed on a semi-regular basis so all in all it did enough to get a 6/10 from me...

I think the Sparrow meant Bruce Springsteen. But I may have been mistaken.

I must agree with those who describe this film as being "quirky".
I think it'll depend on what mood you are in when you enter the screening as to whether you love or hate this film.
It's silly, serious, touching etc but not enough to win you over completely.

Loved the goodie bag (interesting flavoured popcorn). They collected all the spare ones a few minutes before the film began.
