Well since I left Sky last year, their rewards scheme was the only thing I missed and probably the biggest reason I would return after my VM contract expires, but this changes everything.

I guess if we get access to more free films via SFF then it will be far better

Although because sff is open to everyone, there'll probably be more competition to get tickets...

It seems that they won't be replacing the free cinema tickets with anything and just concentrating on existing services..

Hi all,

We appreciate your dissatisfaction with the decision to close our our cinema rewards service.

The reason our cinema rewards service was closed is because we want to make Sky the top choice for entertainment - that’s why we constantly review the ways we engage with our customers, giving them lots of reasons to choose Sky and then stay with us.

We know that customers who use our ‘value add’ products are more likely to stay with Sky. That’s why we’ll now turn our focus to promoting these amazing extras that are included at no extra cost in our customers Sky package, including:

• The UK’s biggest TV catch up service
• On Demand box sets and movies
• Sky Go

Please note that all of Sky’s other experiences at The O2 in London will continue to operate. This includes Sky Studios, where customers can see how TV is made, and, for those with an event ticket, access to our exclusive customer bar located behind the main arena stage. You can go to here for more information.

We are continually looking at other ways to reward our existing customers, so please keep your eyes pealed. This topic is now closed for further responses.

Thanks.

well I have to add that this is a complete load of BS. In fact,Sky Go services have been cutdown progressively this year, with less available to watch unless you p*y extra per head. Furthermore Sky go download is no longer free from 2013 onwards, another extra charge added to their service.

So to sum up, claiming that 'extras are included at no extra cost' is a direct lie opposite to what sky has implemented.Darcy, whatever their real name is, is basically a lying twit of the highest order who is happy to crap on you and tell you its raining.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

In any case, you could just as well argue the opposite, i.e. that Sky was more likely to be/become the top choice for entertainment if it DID continue to offer free film previews - as what are they if not entertainment? And surely being amongst the first to see something gives customers an added fillip?
