Thoroughly enjoyed screening at Birmingham tonight - How can you not love Nick Frost and in heels no less!

Really enjoyed this. Perfectly aimed at my age group, loved the film references and the cameo. I didn't expect it to be a prize winner but thought there was some very comical dialogue. Kay van 'wajeed' nova won it for me, simply because I will never forget his confused face.

Right......who wants to salsa?? Anyone?...No one? Ok then lol thats what these kind of movies do to me...make me want to learn how to dance! I thought this was really good, not a massive fan of Nick Frost, although I loved 'Paul'... but I found him rather cute in this, some real LOL moments...I left the cinema with a smile on my face and my mum giggled A LOT on the way home! o/ 8/10

Dire & laughless.

Had listened to nick frost on radio 5 explaining that he had had months & months of salsa lessons prior to this movie...think he confused sauce with the dance as he was dreadful.

Felt sorry for all the wasted talent on show here....Kinnear & Coleman & Frost...oh my.

Generous 1/10 (my mum loved it...)

We enjoyed this film and like others here the music had me wanting to learn how to salsa. Have suggested to OH before about dancing lessons but he isn't very enthusiastic. Loved the dancing and will be putting some salsa on my youtube playlist.

I too was won over by Nick Frost, it wasn't his usual performance, that was left to Mr O'Dowd.

I'm left thinking 'was that it?' Hardly the next British hit that it tries to be.

A few scattered jokes but mostly I found it underwhelming and unfunny. Not particularly witty or clever plus Ian McShane and Olivia Colman were criminally underused. 6/10.

Good music and dancing. Not as funny as expected but still worth watching. 6/10

Entertaining enough, but a bit Billy Elliot. Indeed I think I'd have rather watched the back story with the younger Bruce in it. Not much in the way of comedy. Chris O'Dowdy was just that. He simply became annoying rather than the expected wit and laughs that he is known for. Never recognised Kayvan Novak at all, but again barely funny. Think Olivia Colman was wasted too. Wouldn't bother watching again and glad I didn't p*y to see it, but light fluffy entertainment it was so...

Funniest thing in this movie was 15 minutes in and 2 late arrivals squeeze there way along my row and sit beside me, then spend 5 minutes gawping at the screen before asking me in a stage whisper "What film is this?"
When I told them they promptly upped and left! They'd wandered into the wrong screen. D'oh.

btw who was the cameo? I never noticed one and can't see anyone in the cast list recognisable that wasn't a main or secondary character.
